A: Because with out any seams like vents or hood scoops in the hood, it will not have any structure to be used as support.

A:Brillianize cleaner or any other cleaner for plexiglass/acrylic and a clean non contaminated microfiber cloth.

Q: If the hood gets scratch, how do I get the scratches out?

A: It can be buffed out.

Q:Whats the best way to protect from scratches

A:Install ppf on the hood.

Q:Why not use Lexan/polycarbonate?

A:

  • The cost of material is higher.

  • It takes more time to mold due to the 10+ hour drying process required to prevent moisture from creating air pockets during the molding process.

  • Its harder to buff out scratches than Plexiglass/Acrylic.

  • Its more flexible than Plexiglass/Acrylic.

  • It tends to yellow when exposed to UV light over time.

  • The clarity is slight better with plexiglass/acrylic.
